Parihaka was wonderful....really well done. Wonderful people, awesome music, beautiful crafts, interesting speakers, te reo classes, people cleaned up there trash throughout, all was wonderful, harakeke planting (including phsycially planting it, not just the $)and everyone was excited to be there with such a message of peace. Very unifying. Tons of media people wandering around, equally excited. They are deciding about the realities of continuing annually, biannually, etc. Parihaka residents even said all feedback going around was good. New Zealand, you have some wonderful stuff going around! Pave the way for the rest of the world!
