A tabloid magazine in Britain is reporting that Rolling Stone Keith Richards will have surgery in New Zealand today.
The Sun claims the 62-year-old rocker needs surgery for a brain haemorrhage after falling from a coconut tree in Fiji last month. It says doctors in New Zealand had been holding off performing surgery to see if he healed naturally, but have now decided to operate.
The Sun also says the incident may have signalled the end to the rocker's crazy lifestyle, quoting a close friend as saying Richards has decided to kick drinking and cigarettes for good. -
