Samhain is the Celtic new year, it's old Halloween, festival of the dead.... time to remember those no longer with us etc...
Pot luck food, drink, and no cell phone coverage yay! fire drumming etc etc yadda yadda.
It's a nice little area surrounded by bush with a second fire site down by the river (2 minute walk if you're drunk wobbly)
