  Hi Jared...try the kiwiburn tribe and Aotearoa tribe....also am sure if you head to Takaka Golden Bay you will find some very cool folk there...there is a kiwiburn event on there around the 2 to 4 I think....it's listed on kiwiburn anyhow....how long are you coming for?

    My wife's cousin Peter lives in Takaka and has a nice chunk of land and is always open to wwofers - great guy and I know he's got some projects going. He's also a sea kayaking guide and naturalist, and can really help you soak up the beautiful life in Golden Bay. It's worth the drive over the hill.

  Victoria Park in central Auckland used to have a fire night every tuesday, not sure if that's still going on. if you're bringing fire gear with you, make sure it's safely packed, even on domestic flights. NZ airport officials are hardasses.

    thanks for all the info, sorry for the late reply I havent had much time to surf my tribes and I forgot I posted this one =P
    
    I am in Dunedin now and I'm off to spend two weeks at Volco but I'll be back and hopeing to spin some fire!!
