Thank you for your interest to our music.

Last summer we held a throat singing camp in Tuva.

We had 14 students from around the world - 8 of them were from the US, 2 from Australia
2 from Denmark, 1 from France, 1 from England.
After arriving in Tuva, the students spent 1 week in Kyzyl, the capital city.
They were able to see many tourist attractions, see a Tuvan shaman,
and attend the Naadym - National Harvest Celebration.

The students then went on to spend 1 week in the deep taiga, with members of the Tuvan throat singing group Chirgilchin,
learning various styles of throat singing, traditional Tuvan instruments, as well as the Tuvan language.

This summer, we are trying to get 2 groups to go to Tuva again, in either June or July.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.
Please check our photos made by Russell Roesner - our student.

First of all they said no problem, then they said if I wanted to catch an earlier flight it would cost me another fare of $239! Of course the peak flight I was scheduled for will be full and they could have sold that seat easy and put me in a half empty flight, but no that's against policy.

Just this year I have flown domestically half a dozen times and I have been to the US and back as well, all with Air New Zealand. Virgin has just arrived in New Zealand and Air New Zealand is going to be appealing to me for my continued loyalty, well guess what, I'm going to go out of my way when I have a choice, to fly with anyone other than Air New Zealand in future. Instead of being able to sell an extra ticket, they will lose nout on thousands of dollars from me.

That was a good move on their part wasn't it? Of course I am also going to tell anyone who will listen about how shabbily they treat their frequent flyers. Do you think another airline would like my business?

Ok so ive just finished one of my Shiatsu workshops and its good for me to write this in my own words to remember it all better and i thaught it might be of some use to people. Its all about Autumn which is the Metal element (explaining that is another looooong story). This is as much for me as it is for anyone who wants learn from this.

So Autumn is the time for:

- Acknowledging what you have accomplished over the last year and celebrate it so you can rest over winter, write it all down! you will be surprised. It could be a good idea to do it with someone else cause they may remember things that you have forgotten. A lot of New Zealanders dont celebrate what they have achieved, this is important as it marks the completion of a job or task and lets you move on with new things. Celebrate in a way that you will enjoy, have a drink have party, buy yourself something or whatever just celebrate.

- Completing all the little things like day to day stuff and just cope with day to day life. Complete all those small jobs that you have been meaning to get round to (put up those damn curtains, its getting cold! and do your freakin assignments, and do more shiatsu practice!)
Dont worry about your 5 year plans, let them rest over the Winter ready for new Spring energy. Take the path of least resistance, it will be a lot easier to take on these big plans on with a new fresh spring energy.

- It's ok if you don't feel like being sociable, in fact this is good. It's time to retract inwards and nurture yourself.

- letting go and releasing, especially all hose negative thaughts. You dont need all that rubbish, cause allowing it to build up inside leads to illness in the mind and the body. Letting go leads to being grateful. Being grateful leads to clarity and puts everything into persepctive.

- Remember everything that you are grateful for and write it down. You should also write down in this same list everything that you want. Just pretend that you have it, it makes it seem more real and gets you closer to it. e.g. i am so grateful and happy for those new shoes or that house that i just bought. It may seem lame but who cares just do it anyway.

- Be:
flexible but firm.
Consistent and soft
Even handed and wise

- If your having troubles letting things go, look at the trees and see how easy it is for them to let the leaves dry up and fall away.

Your To Do list for Autumn:

- Air everything out ready for winter

- When things get too much, bring it back to your breathing, in... out... in... out.... it should be regular and even. This reflects the day to day rhythm

- Write down ALL your negative thaughts but DO NOT re read them. Once you have written them down burn it and let them go straight away.

- Write down everything that you are grateful for (it is a good idea to do these last two things at least once a month)

- Write down everything that you have achieved over the last year (enjoy these last three things it can be lots of fun, yes even writing down all the negative stuff).

- Remember your breathing

- Set a day to day rhythm

- Eat good quality white foods, e.g. rice, tofu, cauliflower. Eat lots of pumpkin soup too, its really yummy and nuturing.

So those are things that i can remember at the moment without going into too much detail, there is SO much stuff to learn and its hard to keep it all in your head. baaaaggghhh. I didnt think to do this for Summer (fire element) and the in between seasons (earth element)

So untill Winter, signing out!

Connecting to Ones Enlightened self
(The irony being that when we become enlightened, there is no Self)
Enlightenment, Ascension, God Self, True self, Ones Truth, Unity, Oneness, Being, Presence, Heaven, Home, Higher Self, Incarnation of Goddess… Whatever……… The One that is at One with The One…….

These are all different flavours of the one state or one being, You, Me, Us. On some level we all know this, well, how about experiencing it, or being it. All That Is.

When this happens world-wide (and it will…) then all the Political, Social and Environmental problems will naturally resolve. It is our highest service to allow ourselves to be there, here, and everywhere, so let’s support each other in this.
We can do this ourselves by learning to raise our vibration, or frequency. Calming our mind and dissolving and transmuting our resistance, blocks, and all that stuff…. is good too. This can be simple and great fun and feels beautiful and uplifting, peaceful, empowering and humbling.

The facilitator, Sion, has been working and playing with techniques for raising ones vibration, connecting with ascended energies, accepting and transcending the blocks, and taking oneself to an enlightened state for many years. He is pretty good at it too. He is now also opening to the Grace and is being asked to be a Vessel for the Grace. He is thus is in the process of connecting with Enlightenment and would like to offer this by getting his self out of the way for a moment or two and allowing the grace to transmit to you.

Enlightenment is a Neuro-Biological shift in the Brain and The Energy systems.

The Keys for Freedom from the old “stuff’ (which you probably already know…) and creating a Life of Flow will also be offered. The subtle differences between Enlightenment and God Realisation will also be discussed and played with.

About The Facilitator:
Sion Richard A Windelov is a Minister (BA of Divinity) and a Reiki Master and has several other bits of paper too (somewhere…). He has been teaching in the fields of Body, Mind and Spirit since the age of 24, which was back in 94. A Channel for The Ascended Masters for many years, and a Earth healer who has travelled extensively, helping Gaia and family, to ease through this worldwide transformation as gracefully as possible. A Shaman, Spiritual councillor and Medical Intuitive, Sion has helped many people heal themselves, find their truth, and begin to really live it! Born in The Southern Alps of New Zealand, he has a 3 year old son, who has helped him ground greatly and is teaching him many things.
I'm new to this tribe... thanks for your great information.
I'm planning to move to NZ in the next 12 months, work permit permitting, of course.
My borfriend and I have 3 cats... so there is obviously a lot of anziety on my part over the transport of our pets.
I read eveything on the sites you have recommended. It scary...
One question I have is where to you get the proper boxes? At the airports?
I'm really nervous about having all the documentation ready. It's upsetting to think they might put them to sleep once we land.
I'm prepared to stay in Auckland as long as it takes for their quarantine.
Id like to get the boxes and have them in the apt. to give the cats time to get used to them and be comfortable inside. Otherwise they might claw their way out during the 12 hour flight. I'm also thinking they have to be sedated.
Poor babies. :(
Oh well, I can't think about leaving them here.
Thanks for any insight you may have regarding this....

It has actually gone NUmber One on the Music Forte Top 20 Country Hits at http://www.musicforte.com/top_songs_country.php. The nice thing is that everyone recognises that we are pro USA and that most Americans have a different philosophy than their government.

There is a possiblilty (not concrete yet, really hoping for it) that I will be moving to New Zealand fairly soon. Right now I'm trying to research as much as I can (I have like 10 pages open looking things up right now). It comes at an odd but good time because I am going through all kinds of transitions. One thing I'm trying to do is change career paths. Can anyone tell me about working as a massage therapist in New Zealand? If I go to school here would I still be able to practice there, or would I have to get recertified? Has anyone else moved there with cats? How hard is it to find housing with two cats? Oh, and I would definitely be moving to Wellington. Any information you guys can offer would be great.

As for what we do when we're there that's still up in the air a but but rapidly solidifying with each new day. :) We'd like to vist both islands and my girlfriend April has a hard date near the end of our trip in Auckland for some massage thing, so the plan is to get down to the south island pretty quickly after landing in Auckland and then work our way back north. If anyone's got ideas about something we simply must do this time of year or think we absolutely must pass through your area as we trek across the islands and stop for a beer, let me know.

We'll be there for three weeks total and this is my first trip ever outside of the US (well, except for Canada but even my relatives there say that doesn't count) so I'm pretty excited! :)

For those of you who are familiar with www.couchsurfing.com, the next Collective will be meeting in New Zealand in the coming months. Currently, we're scouring the countryside - from North to South, and any-which-way, trying to find a town / city / village / wonderful space to spend the next several months.

If anyone has traveled to New Zealand, or lives there currently, we'd love any and all suggestions on places to live.
Some criteria:
Infrastructure (access to quality groceries, transportation, **internet access**, etc)
Reasonable rents / local survival expenses
Proximity to a larger city (not essential)
And then ideally - sunsets, beaches, waterfalls and gold pouring from the heavens, right?

For more information on CouchSurfing, the Collective, and what we're going for, check out the following message board.
http://www.couchsurfing.com/group.html?gid=3602

We want to get to know the country, the villages, the people, the everything as fully and soon as possible! So, post any-and-all New Zealand related suggestions, travel stories, wonderful experiences, relatives with free housing for us(*wink*), in this topic, or on the CS board.

i will be arriving in Christchurch this Saturday, 8 July, as a guest of the science museum, for whom i'm consulting on a tech-fashion event. they just sent me my schedule and i've found out i'm completely unscheduled the first 3 days-- so Sat thru Mon is free time with no chance to really meet people to enjoy that time with first (i rather hate traveling alone). i don't really know anyone there other than the folks at the museum who set up my visit.

i would like to get out into the countryside some, and to see some art or attend events or dinner parties.

I would love to meet artists, scientists, performers, photographers, musicians, techno geeks, futurists, permaculturists, philosophers, or really any type of interesting creative intellect. if you are in Christchursch, or have friends there you think i should meet, please contact me. suggestions for places to visit and hang out where i might meet such people are also appreciated.

looking so forward to this visit! wish it were perhaps a little better planned but i know it will all fall into place. always does.....
Are there any tribies out here, who are into travel, contact and kundalini tribal dance, drumming circles, cocreating intentional gatherings, or just sharing a pint at the pub?! Looking for my peeps and knew I'd find you here on tribe.
I was hoping there might be some locals interested in showing us around where they live. Anyone out there wanna kick it with some fire spinners?
Since then I've been researching, looking into loans, etc. Teri and Sallie Mae don't have Victoria listed as a participating school. I've come across many people who attended Massey, but none who attended Victoria.
Can anyone confirm whether Victoria is in fact a decent school worth going to or should I be looking for alternatives?

To be held at Parihaka on Taranaki Anniversary Weekend...10/11/12th of March 2006...
Is an event celebrating the remarkable actions of an entire community working together to passively resist a violent assault by the settler government of the day.Viewed by historians as an unnecessary"attack on the people's civil rights",the 1881 invasion was met with solidarity, compassion and a courteous ceremony.
Though the village of Parihaka was levelled to the ground, the men incarcerated, the children dispersed and the women subjected to personal attacks and degradation,at this festival we celebrate with music, dance, film, comedy and healing their incredible strength in retaining their right to meet violence with passive resistance...

The International Peace Festival will be made up of many exciting individual components..
The first of these is Te Atamira Nui..the vast sound-scape for peace.
Boasting a combined total of 100,000 watts of sound and lighting,it will present the best of the music of peace from New Zealand.
The festival is also arranging performances by some remarkable indigenous talents from around the world.
The artists chosen will present 'kaupapa for peace',the artists chosen have not been selected solely because they are popular....they also exhibit a strong philosophy of LOVE and PEACE within their music...

For updates and info please check www.parihaka.com .....may love and peace bless all on this beautiful planet......Shekinah

I'll be visiting your lovely country, arriving 1/14... Looking for connections, people to meet and do stuff with whilst there.

My plans are to visit Auckland and the far north for the first three or so days, make my way to Hastings to visit with a cousin, hang there and Napier for a few days, and make my way to the Wellington area and Kapiti Coast (visiting Shekinah of course) where I'll be performing at the Organic River Fest and a local cafe on 1/21-22. From there I'll catch a ferry to Picton and enjoy the South Island doing a gig in Takaka on 1/27. From there I'm heading to Christchurch to fly to Sydney for some shows over there.

If I'm passing through your area, I'd love to hang out, explore some of the natural wonders of the area (I should have some camping/tramping equipment with me) as well as city life.

I'm into nature, spirituality, music, creative pursuits, fishing, intellectual chat and healing arts.

I welcome and would be grateful for the company! Send me a tribe mail or email to info@alpolito.net.

New Year Cheer to you,
